A musician who was in the audience listening to an impromptu performance by Ben Robinson was moved to make that statement, and friends, I will gush just like a fan myself and say that hearing Ben live for the first time in more than a few years was one of those times when you know you are blessed to be a part of something so very, very special.
No brooding, angry, attitude-laden wannabe, Ben Robinson is a young man in love. The object of Ben’s love, his favorite Fender Stratocaster, responds to Ben's musical affection and touch in a manner reminiscent of the relationship between a certain Mr. King and his famed “Lucille.”
I see now why Billy Gibbons reacted to Ben in the way that he did. Ben is one of THOSE guys, the ones that only come around once or twice in a lifetime.
Let me make something very clear here: no matter who you know, no matter who you have seen, they are not Ben Robinson. This guy is THE next guitar god.
